I met with two couples this week who asked me to perform magic at their wedding receptions. One knew they wanted me at their wedding since I performed at a friend’s wedding reception last year.
I love to hear why people want me adding magic to their wedding party. The couple who saw me last year said it really added a lot to the evening. The table they were sitting at was filled with mostly strangers and having me join the group broke the ice and brought a sense of camaraderie to the table.
It was great to get that feedback as I really try to help bring the various people together and get conversations started. That is part of the magic.
I know I am a bit bias, yet I believe really good magic adds much to a wedding. To be fair, a great DJ or band in important too, yet the magician adds a level of intimacy and a personal touch that can make all the difference.
